Refund policy

1. Custom-Made Orders

All customized and made-to-order products are manufactured specifically for the customer and require dedicated material sourcing, artisan labor, production time, and finishing work.

For this reason, custom orders cannot be treated the same as ready-made or mass-produced products.

2. Order Confirmation

Production begins only after:

- advance payment is received,
- specifications are confirmed,
- and design approval is provided by the customer.

Approvals shared through WhatsApp, email, Etsy, PayPal, or written communication will be considered valid order confirmation.

3. Handmade Product Characteristics

Our products are handmade by skilled artisans using natural materials such as:

- solid wood,
- HDMR,
- resin,
- metal,
- bone inlay,
- carving,
- and natural finishes.

As a result, slight variations in:

- texture,
- wood grain,
- inlay alignment,
- carving,
- resin tone,
- finish,
- spacing,
- or minor operational tolerances

are natural characteristics of handcrafted furniture and are not considered manufacturing defects.

4. Material Variation

If a customer requests a material different from the original reference product (for example MDF, HDMR, or solid wood), slight design or structural differences may occur due to the properties of the selected material.

Reference images are intended for design guidance only.

5. Cancellation Policy

Before Production Starts

Orders may be cancelled before production begins. Payment gateway charges and administrative costs may still apply.

After Production Starts

Once production has started, cancellation requests may be subject to deductions for:

- material purchased,
- artisan labor,
- customization work,
- design preparation,
- and production expenses already incurred.

After Product Completion

Once the product has been substantially completed or prepared for dispatch:

- Full refund will not be applicable.
- Any approved refund will be partial and based on the production stage completed.
- This is because custom-made products are manufactured specifically for one customer and generally cannot be resold easily.

6. Partial Refund Structure

If a cancellation request is made after substantial production completion or once the product is ready for dispatch, a maximum refund of up to 60% of the amount paid may be considered.

The remaining amount will be retained to cover:

- raw material costs,
- artisan labor,
- customization work,
- production expenses,
- packaging,
- storage,
- and payment processing charges.

This policy applies because all custom-made products are manufactured specifically for the customer and generally cannot be resold easily to another buyer.

7. Timeline & Delivery

Estimated production and delivery timelines are approximate and may vary due to:

- handmade production,
- customer-requested modifications,
- material sourcing,
- export/shipping conditions,
- logistics delays,
- public holidays,
- or external circumstances beyond our control.

8. Final Review & Dispatch

Final photos/videos may be shared before dispatch.

Images captured during intermediate production stages or zoomed close-up views may not represent the final completed finish of the product.

9. Non-Returnable Nature of Custom Orders

Customized and made-to-order furniture pieces are generally non-returnable and non-exchangeable once production has started, except in cases of verified major manufacturing defects.

10. Agreement to Policy

By placing an order with Niktan Export, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
